    Lmao... You never actually read the articles either do you?

    The use fallacious reasoning in every article... Even when the speak factually, it's done in a way that it's coincidence that they are right.

    Scientific American is like psychology today, it helps people understand buzzwords so they can act like armchair scientists.

    Back to the topic:

    Mineral depletion occurs when plants grow.

    In nature, this is offset by natural cycling. Forests drop leaves on the ground that becomes mulch for smaller plants, after about 20 years or so, the debris is dry and allows fires to start easily, the ash restores the mineral content of the ground and the year after is quick regrowth.
