There is so much marine life that has been killed by man for food.....but so much lost due to negligence, and apathy that it is ridiculous. You would think we would learn from the mistakes. To attempt to do things right and not for a quick fix either. But now with beaches just being filled with sea life that have died.....either it is got to be something of significance because when I was growing up I cannot recall wherein you heard of marine life washing up on beaches enmasse and all over the place. Or maybe I just didn't notice it as much.

I watched a special on the Discovery Channel concerning fisheries and the way they go out around Alaska and the North is search of massive schools of fish. They're not halibut, but something similiar. As they stated you see this type of fish in all the fast food restaurants and Chains. But they say now they are searching longer in looking for the schools. Bringing the issue to feeding the world. It was interesting special.

    Thanks for posting this.
It reminded me to make a donation to Sea Shepherd, so I just did that.

Really pisses me off that Greenpeace won't help Sea Shepherd to block Japanese whaling.
Captain Watson said with Greenpeace's help they'd block 100% of whaling.
