I read an article in National Geographic a while back that said Denmark gets over 20% of its power by wind. It also claimed that a German made windmill could power I blieve it was 40k homes. With our vast coastline, windy midwest, and great lakes, why aren't we doing this? It only makes sense. Not to mention its environmentally firendly. UNlike soalr power, we can use wind energy 24 hours a day and all 4 seasons.
Another question for science buffs, couldn't we use Tides to produce electricity? If we put turbine on the oceans floor off our coastline, wouldn't we be able to produce hydro-electric energy like we produce at the Hoover Dam and Niagara falls?
