There are kindly bikers and cruel nuns.

It's the person, not the clothing. And that's the essense of feminism.

So? I drove my teachers nuts as well. That chick might not have made the wisest career choice.

She did not rape any of those boys, did she?

A society's quantum of justice is measured by how it treats its most vulnerable members.

I think it's funny...but it also illustrates the shaming women often engage in against one another which IMO, is also a type of sexist injury (sometimes).

This is why I will not agree to strike "bitch" from our vocabulary. The ethnic slurs aside, I feel a snarling mouth is often a woman's best self-defense and I will not support an effort to silence such people unless they speak "like ladies".

(There's never a need to use a religious or ethnic slur, period. Nobody is being insulted by the Entire Race of Puerto Ricans...just one jackass at a time. So call him a jackass.)

I would not allow my kid out of the house to go to college until she had practiced shouting obscenities at me. Rising up on her hind legs was not natural for her. She had to practice.

There should be a degree of ASSERTIVENESS in every kid as they leave home to start an independent, adult life. Asserting yourself against a violent man is a bit more of a stretch for our daughters than it is for our sons.

    The Etiquette Wars....Holy Toledo.
    No kidding!

They should. Women kill. They are OVERALL not as violent as men, which we could argue why that is for days. But VIOLENT women are just as deadly. And a righteous woman on a path for vengence is a Force Of Nature.

Speaking metaphorically, I have been to a few midnight burials and would go again, if someone I loved was in danger.

Never heard even a hint of anything like that. Why would you ask that question?

Reminds me of Kipling's poem, "The Female of the Species".
