Thread: The worst sin of all ...

At another place, there is a thread entitled:Masturbation: The Worst Sin of All?

It is, strangely enough, in the Religion sub-section, but the position seriously put was this -

it is about self control and self mastery. When you are the "Master of your Domain" you are honoring the temple of the body. You do not make your carnal pleasure an idol which you exploit without any other purpose than the fleeting physical experience.

Leaving aside the religious overtones, is there some merit in that view? I have never regarded 'having a quick wank' as an evil of any sort, but what do people here think? :O

lol, if I wasn't an atheist I guess I would be "going to Hell" for that. :P

In all seriousness though, this is just another instance of some religious folks trying to have complete control over everyone's lives, even when it's about as private as it gets.

actually the worse thing that could happen is one would develop carpal tunnel syndrome. it is hell on the wrist finding just the right... nevermind.

there is no such thing as sin. that is a term used by the religious to spread fear among the masses.
