The rest of the world is catching up rapidly especially China and Russia. Then theres's hacking...

M1A2 SEPv2 TUSK with CROWS remote weapon station. Notice the "new" infantry telephone feature.. ww2 tech makes a come back. finally. It turns out that all the fancy wireless satellite links were useless to a grunt standing right outside an Abrams.

I've got a mink that is preying on my high value fish on my fish farm. Do you think that MBT could take him out? I feel like Willy Coyote and the Road Runner or Bill Murry on Caddy Shack. I don't care anymore about collateral damage!

Haha. There are so many projects our military is working on that we don't even know about. I think we're still way ahead of Russia and China with most weapon and defense systems. However, the hacking as you mentioned is where things can get dicey. China's stirring up a cyber warfare strategy that I think is more dangerous than any physical weapon system. It's, in my opinion, why we have more cyber units popping up. An entire cyber battalion just erected in the Reserves. Seemed to just happen over night. And I was wondering why my MP company lost funding....

I think in the next world world lot of that high tech stuff could go out the window if adversaries figure out how to pull the plug on even just satellites. No more GPS and communications and that's just the start!

He's obviously a tank nutter, but very engaging. Bovington has the last running Tiger tank.
I live 25 miles east of Bovington, but I've never been, though driving nearby it can be interesting because it's set in a military training area.

    Thanks from Tedminator

The British Army are quite proud of their Challenger. Here's a meeting it had with that twat Jeremy from Top Gear on Salisbury Plain (A bigger exercise/training area)

You live nearby but never gone to Bovington?? bah. go already.

Biggest tank 'museum' I've been to is the US Army proving grounds in Aberdeen, Maryland. They've got a bunch of soviet and german ww2 tanks...
