North Korea: Australia would support United States in conflict

North Korea: Australia would support United States in conflict, Malcolm Turnbull says
North Korea: Australia would support United States in conflict, Malcolm Turnbull says - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull says if North Korea launches an attack on the United States, Australia will join the conflict.

The Trump administration has escalated its rhetoric against North Korea, after the rogue regime threatened to attack the US territory of Guam in the Pacific.

"America stands by its allies, including Australia of course, and we stand by the United States," Mr Turnbull told 3AW.

"So be very, very clear on that. If there's an attack on the US, the ANZUS Treaty would be invoked and Australia would come to the aid of the United States, as America would come to our aid if we were attacked."

    Australia: America's most FAITHFUL ally.

And even after Donald Trump IDIOTICALLY gets into a shouting match with Malcolm Turnbull in his first few days in office.

I love the Aussies. Hey you guys (and gals) Down Under, know this: A lot of Americans cannot STAND Donald Trump!!

If Lil Kim sends missiles across Japan and on or near Guam it will be a game changer.

And that action will be on NK. A lot of people could end up dead. And NK will have been the catalyst. Provocation has thresholds.

I'm not convinced their targeting and guidance systems are actually good enough to HIT Guam. Maybe get close. But yes, even that would be a 'game changer'.

    What's ignorant about it?

Whether they support us or not it doesn't really matter does it?

Do we need their nukes or their fleets of ships or something?

    Its a meaningless gesture.

They just want our protection in case Japan bombs them again or china or whoever.

I've read this sentence like 12 times. It sounds really cool, but I have no idea what it means. I want it to be a dramatic line near the end of a movie. Maybe delivered by Clint Eastwood .

Heh, I think it'd be a good Clint Eastwood line at almost ANY point in the movie....especially a 'Dirty Harry' movie! Could have Clint saying it to some stupid punk, who gets a dazed look on his face while he's trying to figure it out, and then BOOM!! Clint has GOT him!!
