    Ina word, no.
Nah, they shot down 71 of them.

    Didn't you hear the news?

come out on this matter? Syria has an assortment of Russian hardware with some reports saying this was a good test of Russian hardware.
That was a lot of missiles fired for a few targets.
    Anyone have reliable info?
Trump was mocking the Syrian's attempts to shoot down our missiles so I suspect it's likely true. Considering the loathing so many in our federal bureaucracy have for this President - if the Syrian defenses actually had shot down our missiles it's likely the information would have leaked from our government by now, if for no other reason than the embarrass the President.

I'm no expert, but that doesn't look like the remains of 71 missiles.

But as someone else said..."Who knows?"

Russia is giving Syria better defenses:

    https://www.cbsnews.com/news/russia-...-s-300-system/

BEIRUT -- The Russian military indicated on Wednesday it will supply the Syrian government with a sophisticated air defense system following Moscow's condemnation of the missile attack launched by the United States, Britain and France earlier this month. Col. Gen. Sergei Rudskoi said Russia will supply Syria with "new missile defense systems soon."

Rudskoi's statement did not specify the type of weapons, but his remarks follow reports in the Russian media that Moscow is considering selling its S-300 surface-to-air missile systems to Syria.

Top Russian officials said that in light of the airstrikes on Syria earlier this month, Moscow may reconsider a pledge it gave a decade ago not to provide Syria with the S-300 system. The strikes were in retaliation to an April 7 suspected chemical weapons attack in the town of Douma, near Damascus, that killed more than 40 people.

You would think aerial photos would give an indication of how many cruise missiles hit home. Some being shot down would not be a surprise. Did the USA use decoys, jamming or other tactics to improve the success?

Quite possible. I doubt we'll ever know all the details there.

    Two things:

    1. I saw the BDA pictures the DoD put out of the three targets. It, to me, does not look like 103 or 105 missiles did that damage. That damage could be inflicted way fewer missiles.

    2. One of the Russian pictures shows what they say is a US missile part that was shot down, however it is blue. In the US the color blue is used for dummy, inert or practice armament.

But, what one can see on the ground is only one target visibly destroyed, no damage anywhere else; and no casualties either (but that's more because Trump, with his loud-mouthing on Twitter, gave them plenty of warning and more than enough time to prepare and evacuate and hide everything lol)
Yeah... it was just a demonstration, and a weak one at that.

And Putin's people didn't even fire a shot or launch a missile as far as I know.

All of the missiles were destroyed -- upon hitting their targets. Missiles are designed to be destroyed.
