BEIRUT, LEBANON (2:30 A.M.) – The commander of the Syrian Army’s Tiger Forces, Major General Suheil Al-Hassan, was filmed on Sunday touring the formerly militant-held town of Dumayr in the eastern Qalamoun region of Damascus.

Major General Hassan not only met with civilians and military personnel, but he was also filmed inspecting equipment and the captured arms that were previously used by the militants of Jaysh Al-Islam and the Ahmad Al-‘Abdo Brigade.

As shown in the ANNA News video below, the Syrian general was escorted by an elite pair of Russian military bodyguards that were to ensure his safety as he traveled through Dumayr.

My screenshots that show the Russians

The General Suhail al-Hassan and his elite Tiger Forces are Russia's number one proxy in Syria, period.

The "Tigers" are the ones that usually worked with Russian SOF in Aleppo

and elsewhere.

Gen. al-Hassan even walks around in Russian Army issue camos now (with own patches added) lol

Here with a Russian officer somewhere

He has received Russian medals

and last year, general Valery Gerasimov, the chief of the General Staff of the Russian military, presented him with a ceremonial sword at Khmeymim

and in December, when Putin was visiting Khmeymim, al-Hassan shared the table with him and Assad and Putin praised him personally

The Tigers get the best equipment from Russia, like T-90 tanks

I am pretty sure they are essentially the only force in Syria Russia provides T-90s to.

That guy he is hugging in the last screenshot from the video, that's Ali Abdullah Ayyoub, Syria's defense minister as of January 1st, a guy who, obviously, outranks Hassan, yet he, in some ways, act deferential TO Hassan, not vise versa! Why? Because Hassan is, actually, more powerful than him, BECAUSE Hassan has Russia behind him, including literally now, in the form of those two armed to teeth bodyguards... I have read that even Assad himself fears him, because he knows there are plenty in Moscow who would not mind replacing him with Hassan entirely, a man loyal ONLY to them, and NOT also to Iran... Possibly, that is what he is being groomed for, eventually, when Putin decides to push Iran out of Syria, which Israel, for example, wants him to do anyway...
