I will NOT watch his documentary on baseball, because baseball BORES me to DEATH. Not even Ken Burns could make that interesting for me, sorry.
    Marry me.

I couldn't get through the latest season. And daggumit, if you do not watch every minute of Supernatural, we can no longer be friends. *stomps foot*

Country Music will probably be great!

I will watch anything by him.
I love documentaries, I can't count the times I watched one about a subject I thought would be dull as hell and found fascinating. There's just something about real stories that make them compelling to me. I know there's bias and slants in documentaries, but at least the subject matter has some validity.

Not this one. It's just information thrown in your face. You don't know who to root for. Everybody is wrong if nobody is right.

I watched ten hours of the history of New York City by his brother Ric Burns. It starts with the Dutch buying Manhattan and tells the entire story. It's fascinating especially because of the stories of women jumping from the building in the garment district fire which was such a prelude to 9/11.
I haven't seen Prohibition, but the Dust Bowl was amazing!

I really need to more watch TV.

Seriously. I can't praise it enough not the least of which reason is because it starts with the history of Viet Nam and France's colonization of the country and really, really gets into the weeds of the war.
    You had me at weed.

As for Ken Burns being boring, please. That's not possible. I've watched his docs on the Dust Bowl and Prohibition, along with his classic on the Civil War and have never been bored. I didn't watch the one on baseball, though. Ken Burns is a national treasure.
I've watched them all myself. I loved the Dust Bowl.

You might try the baseball one. It's not just for Baseball fans. I mean, yes there's tons of baseball in it as you'd expect. But there's also a lot of social commentary too.
    Thanks from Blueneck
