    Famous Military Experts Thread

Carl von Clausewitz has been mentioned in other threads, but my go to reference for all things military is Sun Tzu's "The Art of War".

    Sun Tzu's Art of War

The Internet Classics Archive | The Art of War by Sun Tzu

The Art of War is so flexible, so applicable to the human condition, it is even used as a reference for business and other organizations.

I agree completely. Great book and I always learn something new when I read through it.

I have it on MP3 files and listen to it while driving at least once a year. I should upload it for easier downloading. Each file is about 10MB.

I bought my wife a Kindle the day after they came out! She's an avid reader & loves it!

My wife wanted a Kindle until she played around with the iPad. Now she's not sure what she wants to get.

The best advertisement of the book was a couple of years ago when it was mentioned on "The Sopranos". Sun Tzu and Hollywood

Never tried the Ipad but the Kindle does not need a wifi spot to connect & D/L books from Amazon. I think the Ipad does??
But the Ipad is so much more than an e-reader it's not a fair comparison.

No doubt. It's certainly on the Marine Corps reading list. http://militarytimes.com/static/proj...ading_list.pdf
