Took less than a month to realize the squids needed Marines to protect them. :-)

Forgot the quote, the Chinese aircraft carrier. Don't really mean it, just saying I'm uncomfortable with them having that.

OK. But maybe they are not comfortable with the U.S. having almost a dozen with two more under construction.

I could be wrong, but like wwii was expected to be a battleship war and turned out to be a carrier war, i just get the impression that these carriers are going to prove to be large targets for missiles.....

Look at the relative spending, we're numner 1 by far. At the moment the US can acquire and destroy any military target. Its just a big floating target.....at the moment, tactically at least, we have a current decisive advantage on the battlefield, on land, at sea.

Its why our opponents DO go guerilla, its the only tactic that makes any sense against the US military.

Well sorry I don't like the fact that our new owner is building up its navy with one of the strongest weapons on earth. Personally I don't care what they're comfortable with, we're not doing anything hostile towards them so they can be as uncomfortable as they want.

And I'm surprised we're building two more since we're downsizing our navy.

Ya my cousin in the navy told me that our navy is complete overkill for anything short of WWIII. I like it like that.

No need for an apology, you've every right to your feelings. Just pointing out the practical facts of the matter.
Yeah, I can't recall what they are calling them, it's new class of carrier. There are three planned for that class but I think two have actually began construction.
