    I agree with the first two points.

    I disagree with the third. Hell, we weren't even REPRESENTED in Parliament, that was the main issue.

    And, Great Britain would have had a very tough choice: IF they were to allow Colonial representation in Parliament, the American Colonies would end up as a more powerful faction than those on the British Isles. If not, then, the American Colonies would be under represented, at best.

    That does not sound like a "better" Government. And, personally, I still like our Constitutional Republic more than Great Britain's Parliamentarian system.....

    And yet there was a moment, in something like 1781, that the Crown offered just such representation. By that time we were in it to win it.

    I'm not sure of the year. It was at least a year before the end of the war. And let's remember that the tide of the war changed quite abruptly, Cornwallis being stuck by the French navy.
