The Jews never had an empire but that didn't stop them from influencing much of the world as we know it today.

Descartes saw in animals machines and the world followed him in torturing animals to death in extreme cruel ways. We call this "animal experiments". He was wrong in this case and we (=our societies) are still wrong: animals are not machines. Animals have a right not to be tortured. Today say lots of scientists human beings are machines. Specially in context with artificial intelligence. Hopefully no one will think he can do with human beings whatever he likes to do. Btw: I'm convinced "artificial intelligence" is the perpetuum mobile or perpetuum intellectuality of our century.

They were great for a while, though:

--Defeated the Jedi (BONUS: A line they cut from Episode III: Revenge of the Sith: When Yoda dropped down into the air car, with Bail Organa, right after fighting the Emperor, he originally stated "My ass kicked, by an old geezer, it has....."

--Built not one, but TWO Death Stars. (Even if the first was blown up by a bunch of teenagers flying the Aluminum Falcon....)

--Had GREAT clothes, and really, really cool looking Star Destroyers.

NOW a mental challenge for you:

Who wins in a fight between 10 Security "Red Shirts" from Star Trek, and 10 Stormtroopers from Star Wars????
    Thanks from The Man

Hand to hand? I think the storm troopers would win because they have armor.

With weapons, it depends if they are fighting in the star trek or star wars universe (home team advantage).

A space battle; the empire uses mother ships with hordes of smaller fighter ships, each of them with manual aiming lasers.

Starfleet ships have heavy shielding, computer assisted aiming, lasers that essentially don't miss and torpedoes...

In a space battle, the fighter jets would be picked off one at a time, launch a few torpedoes at the mother ships... I think the empire would be hopelessly outgunned.

Hand to hand, one Klingon could probably beat the crap out of 10 Stormtroopers, especially the hapless, bumbling original ones from the 80s lol

Hell those guys got their asses kicked by a bunch of little teddy bears

Now, a Klingon vs. a Wookie, that would be an interesting match up I would love to watch lol

I only considered star fleet troops...

I tend to agree that the klingons would win, but it seems that, while the klingons do love war, their track record shows that they let emotions guide them too strongly, since they are regularly defeated by star fleet tactics.

The ONLY way I could see the empire beating star fleet is if they got the death star up and working.... then it's just a matter of if the shields could withstand the death Star laser (I kinda doubt it).
    Thanks from The Man
