I used to have a T-shirt that said:

    All Hail Marx And Lennon!!

And it had pictures, of course, of Groucho Marx and John Lennon. Two of my all-time favorite people.

Fifty years ago, today, in 1966, Star Trek made its debut on American TV.

The cultural impact of Star Trek would be hard to over-state, in my opinion.

On this date, in 1983, Ronald Reagan launched his invasion of the mighty nation of Grenada.

    We won.

November 22, 1963, a popular American president was gunned down in cold blood. Nothing has been the same since.

One thing has been the same since:

People are making money off the JFK conspiracy theories.

And probably will for another hundred years.

    Books, movies, documentaries, and more.

Iit was the biggest conspiracy theory until 9-11.

We do love those conspiracy theories, don't we? The 9/11 one is still going strong, and no doubt will be fifty years from now.

I don't know. The moon landing was fake conspiracy theory is a pretty big one. Still going strong, too.

We do love our conspiracy theories. I like the "global warming is a hoax perpetrated by China" one too.

1796 Carl Friedrich Gauss, German mathematician, proves the quadratic reciprocity law (the ability to determine the solvability of any quadratic equation in modular arithmetic.)
