Talking Number one issue for Russian youth?

    Condoms lol

Participants of an educational youth forum in the Vladimir region have complained to the head of Russia’s consumer watchdog about the excessively high cost of condoms, the state-run RIA Novosti news agency reported on Monday.

Anna Popova, the head of consumer rights watchdog Rospotrebnadzor promised to refer the complaint to the head of the Federal Anti-monopoly Service, Igor Artemyev.

“I heard you,” RIA Novosti cited Popova as saying. “Tomorrow morning, I’ll start my working day with a call to Igor Yurevich Artemyev.”
Russians at Youth Forum Complain of Expensive Condoms

It shocks me they don't have free condoms over there, seriously.

They think the fact that most schools have now introduced mandatory relatively un-sexualized uniforms, will somehow put an end to all the hanky panky among the kids lol

    Yeah, right...

So, expensive condoms unavailable to many; NO sex ed (that's for the degenerate, rotten West, thank you; Russia will stck to her wholesome Orthodox Christian values lol); and then, we wonder why in some regions, school security guards no longer bat an eye at girls walking around pregnant, it's a normal sight there now...

Condoms are pretty cheap here and there are schools who will give them out free if asked for. We have the same problem. We have day care in some of our High Schools now. Just because you provide them, doesn't mean they will use them.

True... They can be uncomfortable and reduce the pleasure effect, so, of course plenty of people wouldn't want to use them... I have no idea what can be done about this... Education is the only way, honestly... Exactly why I disagree with the "outrage" in this case: Parents outraged over Teen Vogue anal sex how-to column

Youth media SHOULD discuss sex and all the implications and consequences that come with that, with their young readers, educate them, make them aware of what to do or not to do. IMHO, anyway.

Seems like just yesterday that the primary concern for Russian youth was a heroin substitute that caused your flesh to rot away.

Could be spelled yout, or yute.

I think Teen Vogue was over the line with that topic. I envisioned the ages of the readers and the medical complications with that particular act of sex. I cringed. But condom education and proper usage is appropriate and needed. All consequences should be explored, negatives and positives of a sexual life at an early age. Love and commitment should be discussed so students can make an informed decision whether to become sexually active or not. Education should be beyond STD's, pregnancy and contraception.

Drug use remains a huge problem there, sadly, yes.

FWIW, most Western defectors in USSR did not end very well. Look up the Cambridge Five, for example.

I agree. I don't think there is a way to stop youth from having sexual relations. We only can help them do so as safely as possible.

Maybe, as virtual reality technology improves, they will no longer even have to actually touch each other
