You don't need war to destroy a nation.

    I do not think so.

The Nuclear Genie is out of it's lamp, and, at least for now, there is no forcing it back in.

Perhaps, someday, we will have some kind of technology that 'destroys' the nuclear components, but, that is the realm of Science Fiction, right now.

Besides....we have better weapons of terror, now: Bio-vectors.......

Indeed. Republicans keep saying the nation is broken - and they are going to keep trying to break it until it becomes broken.

    I say no.

    What say you?
Weapons are weapons. We've never prevented the spread of any of them. Nations have an inherent right to possess weapons.

If NK does get nukes, I can imagine South Korea wanting to develop an arsenal of their own. Maybe Japan too.

Iran will likely also make some, soon enough, which might well push, for example, the Saudis, to start up a nuke program of their own. Maybe Erdogan in Turkey too.

There is also a big push in Ukraine to develop new nukes as a deterrent against new Russian encroachments. I've also read of Germany potentially developing own nukes in future too.

I believe there will indeed be many more nuclear countries a decade or two from now, and that's just the reality of life...

We do not know that. Everything is impossible, until it isn't.
