By what criteria is Russia a "Major Western Country"? I'm not being argumentative.. just curious. Like I said, their GDP isnt all the great and the country is mostly in asia.

I thought they did because only 35% of Russia is in/next to Europe but contains some 77% of their population. If Russia is not of Western culture and religion etc.. what are they?
