33 Steps for America

I have a full understanding of spatial and social cause and effect, I have never been in any sort of mental institution, I have never used recreational drugs, abused prescription drugs or even drunk a drop of alcohol in my life, and I live in an urban setting in a Blue State, and though I have nothing against the South, I haven't been there in my adult life. I daresay my hobbies and recreation would surprise most of you as well. Face it: I embrace theocracy as a deliberate act of free will, unimpaired in any way, and I prove I mean what I say by living by my own code. Is that too much to fathom? I deliberately and sanely support theocracy, and live by my own code. For 4,700 or so years of human history, theocracy of one form or another was universal. Then Rousseau's ivory tower and "freedom" struck Revolutionary France and its "liberating" guillotine, the Soviet Union and its Gulags, China and its great famine and one-child policy, the Khmer Rouge and, of course, today's North Korea- all examples of what happens when secularism sets in.

I'm not a conservative, but this illustrates why I usually hang around conservatives. "Progressives" don't care that I would reduce wealth inequality, end reckless Wall Street speculation, permanently end US use of land mines, reduce nuclear arms and end the genocide in Myanmar, not to mention cracking down on human trafficking by ending prostitution and cracking down on predatory male behavior by imprisoning all sex criminals for life. No, simply the fact that I am unabashedly Christian and oppose sins of the flesh is enough to earn me the loathing of those whose real ideology seems to be hedonism with a dash of nihilism.

Also, I would say my grip on reality is a lot stronger than people who cite a book of fiction as proof that the 50 steps would result in a dystopia in the real world.
It’s all fine and good that you embrace a moral code for you to live by. But there’s nothing moral about advocating the imposition of a theocracy on everybody. That’s not moral. That’s tyranny.

If you had your way, it would require a dictatorship to keep the theocratic tyranny you dream of going, because people tend not to take kindly to being compelled to live where there are morals police. In a democracy, your tyranny would be voted out sooner or later.

Theocracies have historically had a record of extreme cruelty. Read up on the Tudor era (Henry VIII and his daughters Mary and Elizabeth I). BTW, Mary was the “papist” (Roman Catholic) of the bunch and she was pretty cruel in her own right. Her historical nickname is “Bloody Mary.”

This thread is not primarily concerned with the latest news or with partisan debates. Rather, these are longer term goals that I, who will be the first to admit that I am politically extreme in some ways, want to see achieved in or by the United States of America. Almost everyone will hate me! These ideas are not necessarily in order of importance:

1. Large-scale public works programs implemented, not along "green" lines, but to achieve full employment for all Christian men (defining Christianity as Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Evangelical or Pentecostal). Mend all broken infrastructure and also build a border wall. Pay for it by creating what amount to dummy corporations and selling bonds through them. Yes, this is an accounting trick, but so is Social Security, so that ship already sailed.
2. Abolish the Federal Reserve, but maintain fiat currency, giving Congress control, but only with full M3 Money Supply disclosure to the public.
3. Revoke the citizenship of all atheists and Muslims, atheists on the grounds that they fail to acknowledge the "Creator" in the Declaration of Independence, and Muslims on the grounds that Islam demands global conquest centered in what is currently Saudi Arabia. Humanely deport all Muslims. Exclude all atheists from federal benefits of any kind.
4. End all immigration from all nations to raise wages and prevent increased welfare spending.
5. To keep the population up, ban abortion and contraception.
6. Execute all dealers of hard drugs; sentence dealers of marijuana to life in prison. Ban hard liquor.
7. Split California into coastal and inland regions, and expel coastal California from the Union.
8. Imprison all pornographers for life; cut off all federal funding to Nevada until it outlaws prostitution.
9. Ban offshore bank accounts.
10. Place tariffs on all foreign goods, but make an exception for British goods if they agree to "hard" Brexit.
11. Leave the United Nations permanently.
12. Place embargos on Myanmar (for genocide), Vietnam and Laos (for Communism) and Turkey (for persecuting Christians and failing to acknowledge the Armenian genocide).
13. Place an embargo on Thailand until it takes real measures to end prostitution.
14. End all diplomatic relations with Saudi Arabia. Cut off all military funding to Israel. Remain neutral and uninvolved in the Middle East unless attacked by a specific country.
15. Reintroduce school prayer, and also Bible readings, but only from the Catholic Bible.
16. Outlaw Freemasonry, Kabbalah and all satanic organizations.
17. Constitutionally protect Marriage as one man and one woman, and also legally recognize only Catholic, Evangelical, Pentecostal, Eastern Orthodox and Orthodox Jewish Marriages.
18. Outlaw sodomy, adultery, fornication and cross-dressing.
19. Ban IVF, human cloning and euthanasia.
20. Require all states to abide by Catholic standards of modesty in public dress, both by men and women, or lose federal funding.
21. Require 9 months of fully paid maternity leave for all mothers.
22. Reroute all welfare through Catholic charities.
23. Ban all corporate and union political contributions.
24. Unilaterally end the use and government possession of land mines.
25. Apologize to Japan for nuclear bombings and firebombings during World War II.
26. Enter negotiations for substantial mutual nuclear arms reduction with Russia.
27: Protect the 2nd Amendment and fund government programs training people, especially vulnerable segments of the population, to use guns safely so as to make gun ownership a safe and realistic option for all adult Americans and promote safety for all.
28. Withdraw all federal funding of all colleges and universities.
29. Outlaw hedge funds.
30. Allow the President to halt Wall Street trading at any time, so as to prevent excessive volatility.
31. Outlaw the American Nazi Party, all Ku Klux Klan organizations, the Aryan Nation and all Communist and anarchist groups.
32. End all affirmative action programs.
33. Build better relations with the Catholic Church with the eventual goal of replacing all American governments, federal, state and local, with a Catholic monarchy, by strictly legal methods.

Care for a slice?

The Albino Assassin?

I liked that story, even though I found the idea that a pregnant Mary Magdalene traveled from the Middle East to France - in an era when women presumably didn’t have much independence and the trip had to have taken weeks if not months - to give birth to the son(or was it daughter?) of Jesus who conveniently became the progenitor of a royal French dynasty. Riiiiight.

No stranger a tale than the actual Biblical ones out there, in fact it does not even require you to believe in "miracles"

Had the Founding Fathers foreseen the filth, madness and horror of Margaret Sanger, the flappers, burlesque, Alfred Kinsey, Hugh Hefner, Anton LaVey, the Stonewall riots, Woodstock '69, San Fernando Valley as "porn valley", acid trips, Roe v. Wade, Madonna Ciccone, the crack epidemic, PCP, the opioid epidemic, men in women's restrooms and "After School Satan", they would have agreed with the essentials of the 50 Steps, even if they were mostly Protestants.

Also, I never said the 50 Steps would create a "paradise". We live in fallen nature, tainted by Original Sin. Only in Heaven is there perfection. The 50 Steps are, however, vastly preferable to the chaos and immorality of present-day Western hedonism and secularism.

No, your ideas are the WORST kind of hell. I think you are actually an agent for Satan.

The ideas would create a Hell on earth for the population. Most people seem to be decent and moral, live in a world full of immorality without becoming immoral themselves, and certainly don’t need a theocratic tyranny to live morally. Only control freaks would advocate such a Hell for people. IMO, calling for a theocratic tyranny is itself immoral.
