The Left as "Hippies", or "Progressives", no longer exists. The video drama you posted is about Socialist/Communist new fascism. It does portray the current radical Lefts belief in giving ones self over to the one central power Godlike political state. The Left deals in "doublespeak"... Antifa... the group that wears black uniforms, and beats down people who express free speech... claim not to be the fascists.

"Hippies", and "Progressives" were actually OK people who had a solid place in a Democratic system.

This must not be allowed to happen, but it may be too late already
George Orwell was a socialist. Read. Books are good for you.

"Eric Arthur Blair, better known by his pen name George Orwell, was an English novelist and essayist, journalist and critic, whose work is characterised by lucid prose, awareness of social injustice, opposition to totalitarianism, and outspoken support of democratic socialism. Wikipedia"

“Every line of serious work that I have written since 1936 has been written, directly or indirectly, against totalitarianism and for democratic socialism, as I understand it.”

You have indeed posted a wonderful example of doublespeak. Inadvertently.

Fascism is a political ideology. Not a way of behaving. It is impossible to "act" like a fascist. That's not what the word means. You can only act out of fascist beliefs and opinions.

War is peace, freedom is slavery, anti fascists are fascists.

See how likely that fits?

Do the Swedes, Norwegians, Danes and Finns, give themselves over to their Godlike political state and beat down people who express free speech? Who knew?

the left in America constantly uses these countries as examples of socialist countries but they themselves deny being socialist and embrace capitalism.

And yet, every progressive's on the Democratic debate platform is using those countries as their basis for the policies they are supporting, not one of them has ever wanted to emulate Venezuela or the old Soviet Union, all of that is from the minds of the fringe right wing. The Nordic countries refer to themselves as Social Democracies, they are simply Capitalist countries with a robust social safety net, something that is anathema to right wingers that prefer that the poor and working class suffer any consequences that befall them whether their fault or not, and certainly don't want them to get a raise in the minimum wage.

They have both, thus demonstrating that having some policies that might be characterized as "socialist" does not eliminate capitalism. The idea that the two are mutually exclusive is fallacious and made by extremists who wish to justify extreme policies.
