Really.

It's never a bad idea to kill terrorists who are up to no good.

If it takes an expensive missile, that may still be worth it.

They recruit new ones, we'll blow them up real good, too.

A vicious cycle, no?

Chicken or egg...terrorist or missile?
Well, look at how the Russians have handled Syria.

They drop loads of "dumb" old bombs which they got piles and piles, huge warehouses full of them, left over from the Cold War

Accomplishes pretty much the same thing as your pricey "smart" missiles, but costs way, way less ;)

Also kills way, way more civilians in the process, of course... But the Russian generals don't give a crap about that...

That collateral damage thingy is an issue for civilians. Dropping dumb bombs is not precision.

We need to heed Ike's warning that the MIC will always want more weapons than we need because they are a cash cow that they can sell claiming patriotism and attacking detractors as pacifists.
The GOP is king at putting this BS ahead of real human needs like education, Healthcare and general welfare.

They do, you're preaching to the choir on this one. But overall military spending is RELATIVELY less than when Ike was in office.

Ike was fighting the cold war and the Domino Theory.
Who are we fighting now that requires such expensive armaments?

We are the hegemonic guarantor. Yes, we are embroiled in Afghanistan still and have issues in Middle East, but most of defense budget is still about South Korea, Japan, NATO....
