Possibly but she is young and I imagine social media plays a lot into it. She had only won her primary and did all the late night network tv shows. That doesnt happen. Her following is huge and most dont even live in her district. She has a huge Twitter following now with college kids so I think they will continue to feed into that. Instead of her changing, I do think she is more going to be the norm for politicians in the future. We are just used to older more mature ones but its easy to forget she is only 29 years old. Many at that age are still living home with their parents and she is a US house rep.
If she makes the cut in politics, she will change her politics. The first time a insurance company or pharmaceutical company puts a check in her hand, she will see that politics is profitable. 29 is not that young where you can still get away with stupidity. I don't see her being effective. Eventually her whining on social media will cause her to lose credibility.

Time will tell, won't it?

Meanwhile, gotta love covert right-wingers. LOL.

You can look it up. I didn't say she embarrassed me. I said she is exhausting. I'd like to see her let some of this go and save it for important issues rather than feeling the need to fight back every time some nobody baits her. Right now she is being played. Trump does the same thing when he fights back over every remark he doesn't like. It can be tiring.
My bad... Not sure how I got embarrassed but I did mean to say exhausted. So we're discussing every response Ocasio-Cortez has made? Or just the ones that make Minotaur exhausted? Trying to figure out which search terms to search. "Ocasio-Cortez responds to some nobody and says that thing that is exhausting."

Even Tucker Carlson agreed with her about Amazon. Living near NYC it's hard not to see it her way. The company is rolling in money, got cities across the country to waste time and energy putting together ever more generous dowry type packages to entice Prince Bezos to marry them. In the end it was all just a charade to get a better deal from the places Bezos wanted to move anyway.

The constant fights with every yahoo who baits her is more to the point. Not sure what is not clear about what I am saying. Hopefully that will fade with time but for now she is playing into the opposition's hands. That only means she needs to pick her fights with a little more clarity and not act on the need to fight back over everything.

SNL mocked her pretty good. Her bit starts at about 2:43, but Kate McKinnon's impersonation of Mika is pretty hilarious too.

Tbh, if it weren't for Kate McKinnon (although the Ocasio-Cortez parody was very good), that bit would have been a total stinker. It felt like it dragged on forever, and I don't know who that guy was supposed to be, but I could do a better Scarborough (and I'd probably suck at it).

And don't get me started on SNL's musical guests.

Yeah, the Scarborough invitation didn't do much for me. That guy does a lot better when he's playing Eric Trump. But McKinnon is awesome.

Taking bets on who believes she is literally sitting in this thread to make sure nobody makes fun of her, points out gaffs she's made, or minor errors when she speaks.

Watch out. She has a reply at the ready.

I figure she is representing her district so that is no concern to me. I doubt that in her district it will help the republicans. Hopefully time will mellow her so she won't be baited into thinking she has to answer everyone baiting her.
Agree that she needs to learn how to not take the bait.

But it is nationwide where she can help the Repubs.

Saying "Abolish ICE" and pushing for Socialism, will be fodder for the Repubs.

She will be made into a national poster child for them.

But, maybe she'll learn quickly...
