American Cancer Society has new guidelines for colonoscopy screenings
By Dr. Chantel Strachan

"Colon and rectal (colorectal cancer) is the second-leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States."
"Now, the American Cancer Society (ACS) is advising Americans as young as 45 to undergo a colonoscopy screening, down from the previous recommended age of 50."
"An estimated 140,000 Americans will be diagnosed with colorectal cancer and about 50,000 will die from it in 2018, according to ACS. The reason for the guideline age change: cases of colorectal cancer for people under age 55 increased 51 percent between the years of 1994 and 2014."

====================================================

Younger people now need to go and have Colon/Rectal Screenings. One cannot be too careful with that dreaded killer disease and it's much better to be Safe than sorry! The increase in Colorectal Cancer in younger Americans signals the need to be checked out early! Those in their Mid 40's Now Need To Go Get Screened. Don't Delay!

Whatever it takes. And I say this as one who was once checked for bladder cancer, which is worse than being checked for colon cancer.
