Americans feel positive about the economy, but worried about U.S. direction

I believe most agree the economy is doing well, some want the country to go in a different direction

These are the choices???

Actually, only a radical few suggest such a thing. Republican partisans want us to believe that Democrats are for open borders, which is not true. Open borders would be a disaster, but building a wall isn't the alternative.
  • Raise Taxes back to the level back to the level they were or even higher to pay for entitlements
To pay for entitlements? How about to balance the budget? How about spending cuts along with tax cuts so the country doesn't drown in red ink? Anyway, "entitlements" has come to mean Social Security and Medicare, which are paid for by payroll taxes, which weren't cut.
Everyone understands that those things can not be "free." The issue is how best to pay for them and control the soaring costs.
Meaning what? A "better" tax system ought to mean collecting enough taxes to pay for government expenses, but could mean anything from a "flat" tax to a national sales tax.

For most people, a "better" tax system would be one in which the other guy pays most of the taxes.
