Sigh.

Well. One. They didn’t appoint him. They settled a court case that lead to his election. Because as usual...south Florida is a gigantic cesspool of mostly Democrat and yankee carpetbagging asshole corruption. Seriously. The point of Disney is for you to come...spend your money...and leave.

But Gore wouldn’t have been a “good” president either. 9/11? Katrina? Recession? All would STILL have happened. These were multi layered failures at a variety of levels of government that were ultimately non partisan in nature. Primarily because they spent a decade or more in the Making.
First: Future history will clearly record that the election of 2000 was a STOLEN election, and that Gore actually won more votes in Florida than George W. Bush did. Wasn't the first time a Presidential election was stolen in the state of Florida, either. The 1876 election led to President Rutherfraud Hayes, as many newspapers referred to him for his entire four years in office.

Suppose Al Gore had become the rightful President in early 2001. It is by no means clear that 9/11 would still have happened, because our government had PLENTY of warning signs, which the Bush administration simply IGNORED. Our counter-terrorism chief Richard Clarke had been running around Washington with his hair on fire, trying to get high officials such as Attorney General John Ashcroft to listen to him about how dangerous Al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden were. Sadly, John Ashcroft was more worried about pot smokers, porno, and nude Greek statues at the Department of Justice.

Here's what definitely would NOT have happened: We would NOT have invaded Iraq in 2003, the worst geopolitical blunder in the history of the United States, a $5 trillion 'mistake', according to Nobel Laureate economist Joseph Stiglitz. Al Gore: "For George W. Bush to invade Iraq after 9/11 was about as if FDR had decided to invade Brazil after the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor."

Here's what else would have happened: we would have started PAYING DOWN THE NATIONAL DEBT, instead of causing it to explode with the wildly irresponsible Bush tax cuts. America today would be in vastly better fiscal shape, instead of approaching fiscal Armageddon as we are.

Oh, and we would be MUCH further along in converting to an economy based on renewable energy resources instead of fossil fuels.

Somewhere out there is a parallel universe in which Al Gore DID become the rightful President in 2001 and in which all of THAT happened.

Where's the door to that parallel Universe? I want to go there!

That’s racist. Further. Obama will just be another forgetable president. Bush will be remembered because his presidency was one of the worst times to come into office. And not because of HIM. Though I’m sure a dumbass partisan hack would try to argue otherwise.

9/11, Katrina, Crash, and so on. While Iraq was a mistake...our military mishandled Afghanistan due to “entangling alliances.” At least that is my base assumption based on limited information and knowing that Pakistani relations were quite soured after their failure to secure the border and then finding OBL there.

Other than that? Those 3 are unimpressive presidents and I sincerely hope that shit heap of Obamacare doesn’t saddle us with yet another “social security” pyramid scheme of unending debt. Since the Democrat solution is to just throw more money at problems. I mean. I can’t really blame Democrats alone. Republicans tend to get stupid when it comes to understanding that throwing money at the government is stupid too. Because the government takes and doesn’t give back. And they intentionally spend their full budget just to request more.

But yea. I digress. The Democrat chicken littles are hilarious. But I’m just curious. So far. What rights or privileges have you lost as a citizen?
Bush is already remembered for lying us into war, busting the budget and the biggest recession since the Great Depression.

In less than 2 years Trump is well on his way to beating Bush on mismanagement.

Not to nit pick here. But...Do you actually believe Bush was responsible for the recession? Do you even understand what happened?

He bears a large element of responsibility, yes. George W. Bush was the Number One Cheerleader for the Great American Housing Bubble of the 2000's, and it was the inevitable collapse of that bubble that precipitated the Great Recession. Alan Greenspam also shares a huge chunk of the blame. There is actually PLENTY of blame to go around, right up to and including millions of Americans who were buying more expensive homes than they could afford.

Does this requirement come with a time machine? (See bold/italic/underline above.) :zany:
