Angel Mom Agnes Gibboney says the sanctuary state of California is set to re-traumatize herself and her family by freeing her son’s murderer, an illegal alien, from prison without turning him over to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency for deportation.

Gibboney — whose 29-year-old son Ronald Da Silva was killed by an illegal alien in 2002 in El Monte, California — is pleading with California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) to make sure that her son’s killer is turned over to ICE for deportation rather than being freed into the U.S.

The illegal alien killer had been previously deported from the U.S. and a year before murdering Silva was arrested for assault and domestic violence but was never deported.

Hopefully the Republicans can get the Justice for Victims of Sanctuary Cities Act of 2019 signed into law soon.

At least then when this illegal kills again, the families of the victims can sue these sanctuary cities and/or the counties.

Keep in mind up to 80% of criminal illegals who are released by these sanctuary jurisdictions across the US will commit additional crimes and victimize more innocent Americans according to Federal Immigration Data.

I hadn't heard of that bill and I do hope it passes but democrats will likely kill it. Good part is the house is going to flip after the impeachment fiasco and it will pass then

He was arrested by ICE upon his release and deported.

Ronald da Silva, was killed in 2002 by Gonzalez. The documented gang member received an 11-year sentence for manslaughter Nov. 21, 2003.

Gonzalez was processed Friday at ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations office in El Centro and then deported to Mexico, according to the news release.

There is no need for some new law, this is not a state issue nor is it their job to pursue, its a federal issue and is already handled by the feds as you can see in this case you cite.

A law that allows litigation against a sanctuary city that releases a known criminal can only accomplish good things.

Republicans were in charge when this happened. What makes you think they're any different now?

They dont have an option, he completed the sentence....they are following the law by releasing prisoners who have served their sentences. Its not the states job to do, the feds handle immigration, not the states. You cant sue the state for releasing prisoners who have served their sentences.

They have the option of turning him over to the feds for deportation and releasing him into the US should be grounds for litigation by his next victim.
