First it was global warming but far too many global warming conferences were being cancelled due to snow storms and far too many cold snaps in far too many locations made that name a subject of far too many jokes so it was quickly morphed to climate change. Apparently the alarmist now think that doesn't scare people enough so here we go with a new focus grouped really scary word. Introducing climate collapse or maybe climate crisis but probably scorched earth! Coming to a neighborhood near you soon. LMAO

"Sometimes a brand name needs to be hyperbolic to truly capture hearts and minds. If we don’t take massive action now, Earth will be uninhabitable — an irreversible barren wasteland,” he insists. “‘Scorched Earth’ paints the direst picture of what’s to come and what we must avoid and is likely the edgiest brand name from our exploration.”

“Whatever we call it, impending climate doom is upon us if we don’t act quickly,” Hall concludes. “Perhaps a new name will shift the needle, even if just a little.”

"Mr. Hall’s contention that it does not matter if what is said is true as long as it elicits the necessary response is reminiscent of similar assertions by leaders of the Extinction Rebellion (XR) movement."

"impending climate doom"?

Pretty scary sounding, huh?

But, wouldn't it make a great name for a rock band?

Apparently he heads this alarmist PR group which is likely a division of Media Matters.

" Aaron Hall chair of the Community Development Advisory Committee, in a press release."

I guess it's acceptable for conservatives and others to condemn those who care about the planet's long-term viability but remember this: 50 or 60 years from now if the predictions come true and the planet is in or close to a condition where sustaining human life as we know it today is in jeopardy, your children/grandchildren/great-grandchildren may be on their knees praying "we did not know, we did not know" while silently cursing their predecessors. How would that make you feel knowing that?

If scorched earth doesn't work whats left? Maybe Doomsday is upon us, pass the Kool-Aid? LOL
i dunno. "hope for the best"?

it's pretty obvious we're not going to do anything about climate change. so here's to hoping you're right and the whole thing is a big hoax. i don't have kids so it's not like i really care that much.

Key words here:
"If predictions come true". Look back through history at all the doomsday predictions. How many came true? None I guess since we are all still here.
