Well, some here are suggesting that there is really is a "thing" called TDS.

If you are going to go by that metric, then "AOC" is a "thing".

I don't get it myself. She is one congressperson. Yet people here want to make her out to be the end all.

The media sure got behind her early on. Loved her Green New Deal until most everyone laughed at it. Now she is toxic.

Who were you calling a "boy"?
Nobody. The context was I mentioned the title in reference to the moral of when people lie so consistently, they are no longer trusted even when telling the truth. and you had a fucking fit about it, now you are apologizing for cultural appropriation or whatever other bullshit you get strategically offended by because it is someone you support.

This tactic is glowingly obvious....

when was this? This thread doesn't have anything to do with "cultural appropriation" - btw.

"Great and Just President"? What? Is the Wizard of OZ now? Try are they might the Republican's aren't going to be able to make AOC a campaign issue in the general election. There are too many candidates running on the Democrat side. And they're already pushing back on the so-called "Progressive" faction of the party , like Sanders and AOC. The aim is clear. You all hope that if you focus on AOC you'll created division among Democrats. The idea of having a diverse party is alien to the GOP. Because, it's too busy scapegoating non-white voters.
Funny you mention that.Stacey Abrams cried RACISM when she lost in Georgia. Yet John James lost in Michigan. How come nobody cried RACISM there? Could it be that James is a Repub?

As for "Great and Just" ,I threw that in for a bit of humor. But just LOOK at your candidates. They all support this AOC madness. Like I said. Crowley will get his seat back in 2020. If AOC is the future of the Democrats, GOD help this country.

good lord. It's not an actual "syndrome".
No but the connotation is laid. Right? It shapes any argument both for and against her. It, woven into the conversation is a method of stifling it.

All politicians deserve to be made fun of, scrutinized and called out for their words.

AOC has become some strange landmark for both sides of the political isle.

The right thinks she is a joke and are not at all threatened by her.
The left doesn't really even like her but will defend her, for whatever reason they wish.
And those in the middle like people who shake things up but at the end of the day do not agree with her on policy.

She is a freak. And that's not meant in an offensive way. She stands out. Big time.

I was awake during George Bush Jr's and Obama's presidency's, it should be obvious by now that we talk a lot of smack about politicians. Let's not be surprised by it for the billionth time because of AOC.

the "derangement syndrome" meme fits perfectly with what's happening with AOC. Don't tell me that you haven't seen all the threads posted about her right here on this site. Then, there's Fox News who I doubt goes a day without finding something to criticize her over. Not to mention social media, Republican's and even the Vice President and the President. They see her as a way to brand the entire Dem party as a bunch of socialist nutjobs. She may stand out as far as Democrats are concerned. But, the voters sent her to our congress because they obviously like that about her. Dems defend her because she's being vilified and attacked mercilessly by the right. Which should only be expected. The amount of criticism she's being subjected to is what's freaky. Hence the use of the "derangement syndrome" meme. Like I say. It fits perfectly with what's happening to her.

Well that, and we have endless threads about her over and over again. Don't see to many similar threads about any other "D"s.

I think it's funny that she lives rent free in so many people's head, including Faux News.

It is interesting to call out AOC derangement syndrome when at any given time there is 15 or more Trump "farted" today threads. It really is getting boring to rehash and repeat the same old crap everyday. Lately, when a thread starts to tank with "Trumpcult" I just sign off. No reason to keep reading because it is the same old shit.

AOC is in this for the attention. She seems starved for it...negative or not. She is just like Trump, different message. Nobody is afraid of her or anything else. They either find her stupid or embarrassing...depending on which side of the isle.

She is a Bernie Bro. Which means she isnt really a full fledged democrat. If you go back and look at tapes of her during the 2016 campaign when she was campaigning for Sanders, she said how they would either transform the D party or form a new party. She has said she will primary dems, if they arent progressive enough. Now she is young and might mature, but if she remains a Bernie Bro she will be very dangerous down the road.
