That is a false assumption and a too broad generalization. Being born in the South and having traveled pretty much everywhere; I have seen prejudice spring up in the North simply because of my license plates, my boots, and my speech. That is even the case in some places in the mid-West. And as for California; yes, even there. I find that really funny because the people that displayed it the worst were actually from the South (Texas).It's the most racist region of the U.S.
You and your Proud Boys would be a good fit!
While traveling in Spain and Europe, people would often ask where I was from. When I told them that I was an "American" they wanted to know where. When I told them Texas they attempted to correct me by saying, "You aren't American your are a Texan."
All of us in the group thought that was funny. The movies create lots of false stereotypes. And I have found that idiots can be everywhere and so can their prejudices.
