Congressional Republicans are in a real Obamacare trap, which Jason Easley has been predicting since Obamacare was passed. The trap is the same trap as Social Security and Medicare: Now that people have their insurance, they don’t want to lose it.

Warning of the coming autumn of discontent, a source close to GOP congressional leadership wrote Axios in an email of Congressional Republicans, “They’re going to go home and get the [stuff] kicked out of them because people think it actually was accomplished — and, by the way, people are likely going to be getting their premium increases that are going to occur regardless of whether they pass this bill or not. …
And now the president’s threatening that he’s not going to approve the money for the insurance subsidies — it is going to be a catastrophic political problem …”

You might say,Congressional Democrats and President Obama laid the trap.

And,if the continue on with the threat Graham and Cassidy put out to destroy health care,it is on them.

People are already angry at them, just watch. I think Trump will jump in bed with Democrats, once they offer him solutions. It would be huge for Trump if he signed a bill, fixing problems. Think how good he would look if he gave every one health care and cut costs.

Democrats now have the backing of all Medical organizations and Insurance companies.

That's what Harold Ford said on Morning Joe last week. Trump will throw the GOP under the bus and go with a moderate dem proposal. He only cares about himself.

This "trap" was predicted when Obamacare first passed. That the program was unsustainable but would not collapse until after Obama left office.

You seem to be gloating that this Democrat plan was a "good thing".

Really.....??

The program...like any other program, "collapses" when there is no political will to keep it going. Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid would all "collapse" if Congress did not do what it takes to keep the program going.

ACA was neglected for 7+ years.

trying to set your own trap..... Republican's trapped themselves. They have had over 7 years to come up with a repeal and replace bill. That's what they, themselves, ran on. Obama didn't force them to do that. They could of spent all this time working with Democrats to fix the issues that would lead to it's collapse. But they didn't. So they only have themselves to blame.

No state refuses Medicaid money. Not one.

Maybe states did not expand Medicaid believing that ACA would be repealed. Now that fixes may be in the mix...how many states will expand Medicaid?

Yes. Because you can't just repeal. That would resolve nothing anyway. As for any other aspect for an Obama legacy, every tweet solidify's a positive one.
