Bernie Sanders

@BernieSanders

Today, we remember the thousands of lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the bravery of first responders who put their lives at risk to save others.

The attacks began an era of endless war for our country and we must change course. https://www.foreignaffairs.com/articles/2019-06-24/ending-americas-endless-war …

We must envision a new form of American engagement: one in which we lead not in war-making but in finding shared solutions to shared global challenges. U.S. power should be measured not by our ability to blow things up, but to bring people together around our common humanity.

Bernie is fool.

There's no "global solution" with Islamic terrorists. To believe this is painfully childish.

They don't share our values and can not be dealt with in a rational and civilized manner.

Bernie is naïve and dangerous. But, and this is the scary part --- he's not much different that the other Democrat candidates.

The left is filled with ideas --- it's just too bad they are almost all wrong.

Not really though. There have been plenty of times when the US wasn't at war (even though as you point out, plenty more where we were at war), but none since the beginning of the "GWOT". It truly has been perpetual war.

We are currently involved in (leading) war operations in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Somalia, Iraq, Libya, and Syria.

The U.S. Has Been At War 222 Out of 239 Years

222

The U.S. Has Been At War 222 Out of 239 Years. This morning, I discovered an interesting statistic, “AmericaHas Been At War 93% of the Time – 222 Out of 239Years – Since 1776“, i.e. the U.S. has only been at peace for less than 20 years total since its birth.Mar 19, 2017
