Another day another poll..

The survey by the UC Berkeley Institute of Governmental Studies found that both Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts — the commanding front-runner in a September California poll — and former Vice President Joe Biden have lost ground among the state’s likely Democratic primary voters over the last two months.

That erosion has benefited Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont, who tops the primary field, and Mayor Pete Buttigieg of South Bend, Ind., who doubled his support since the September poll.

With less than two months before voting starts in Iowa’s Democratic caucuses and three months before California’s March 3 primary, “the race is really unusually fluid,” said Mark DiCamillo, director of the Berkeley IGS poll of voters likely to go to the polls in the Democratic primary.

California will affect the prospects of all candidates because it has the largest number of delegates at next summer’s Democratic nominating convention.

Without a doubt Bernie has already lost his chance. Even if he has California, while helpful, that state is not big enough to carry him through the rest of the country. Period. End of story.

When I talk to my Left leaning friends/family here in California, Bernie seems to be the candidate of choice among them. It baffles me, as I find Socialism a path to mediocrity / failure.

Are you sure you're not saying this because you don't like Bernie as a candidate?

Just curious, do you think we'd be better off if we didn't have SS, Medicare or Medicaid?
Yes. My returns vs. SS and virtually anyone else's would be far superior. (See county of Galveston, TX that got to opt out and did way better.)

Medicare / Medicaid - Likely if we went with the models used in the Midwest, like Wichita-based AtlasMD. It has far better health care, prescription drugs, and more at a much better price.

On inauguration day 2021 BS will be 79, JB will be 78 and DT will by 74. By the end of June, 2021, BS will be 80, JB will still be 78 and DT will be 75. I would have hoped that this country would have learned from the RR years that 80 year old presidents are not what a "young" (US is the youngest world power) country needs a young (at least younger than 60) leader with modern ideas. Sadly, that does not seem to be the case.
