Nunes sues Twitter, some users, seeks over $250M alleging anti-conservative 'shadow bans,' smears

California GOP Rep. Devin Nunes filed a major lawsuit seeking $250 million in compensatory damages and $350,000 in punitive damages against Twitter and a handful of its users on Monday, accusing the social media site of "shadow-banning conservatives" including himself to influence the 2018 elections, systematically censoring opposing viewpoints and totally "ignoring" lawful complaints of repeated abusive behavior.

In a complaint filed in Virginia state court on Monday, obtained by Fox News, Nunes claimed Twitter wanted to derail his work on the House Intelligence Committee, which he chaired until 2019, as he looked into alleged and apparent surveillance abuses by the government. Nunes said Twitter was guilty of "knowingly hosting and monetizing content that is clearly abusive, hateful and defamatory – providing both a voice and financial incentive to the defamers – thereby facilitating defamation on its platform."

The lawsuit alleged defamation, conspiracy and negligence, and sought not only damages, but also an injunction compelling Twitter to turn over the identities behind numerous accounts he said harassed and defamed him. The lawsuit is separate from Nunes' work on the House Intelligence Committee, where he is now the ranking member.
OMG what a load of tosh! Poor snowflake. There are other suits as well.

At work, break just ended, can't add more but this should be enough to get the ball rolling.

This should just be all sorts of fun.

P.S.: Libs get shadow-banned, completely banned, lose their accounts and all their followers, ALL the damn time.

It should be pretty easy to prove and oh, 'nother PS. Jack is pretty fucking red.

Exhibit A:

Twitter is a Nazi haven for the same reason its CEO claims no bias

But it’s also validates criticism of why Twitter is reluctant to ban Nazis, hate-mongers, and other trolls that harass people on the service: It makes money off of them.

Twitter has been long-known to ignore reports of threats or abuse. It’s common to see people posting the screenshots of the messages they get back from Twitter saying that sexist, racist, homophobic, and violent remarks don’t violate its policies. Only when they get enough retweets and media attention do those accounts seem to disappear.

In fact, a Wall Street Journal report claims that Dorsey told a confidante that he’d personally intervened to overrule his staff in order to allow Infowars’ Alex Jones to remain on the app and to reinstate alt-right figure Richard Spencer.

Nunes probably won't be remembered 50 years from now ... he doesn't deserve that.

But if anyone researches him, pulls a dusty book off a shelf, more likely uses Future Google in a drunken stupor, they will be flabbergasted. How is it possible that this man led one of the top three committees of the U.S. House of Representatives for FOUR YEARS?!? What did he do to earn such influence, such responsibility? Why was he allowed to stay there?

Fortunately, Adam Schiff is retaliating against Nunes, at least for now; what was previously a bipartisan panel, the chairman being first among equals, remains very much a rule-by-gavel operation. The Republicans have to be made to understand that if they use the power of Congress to engage in pure hackery — running internal documents into the fucking Situation Room so the president knows what the committee is up to — they will be relegated to complete irrelevance every single day they are in the minority.

That shouldn't last forever. We need a bipartisan Gang of Eight to keep the ship on course. But Nunes can't be part of it. Even if given the chance, the stupid fucker will refuse.

PS - Dorsey is on congressional record about his bias against conservatives.

Looks like everyone who us being shadowbanned will be able to cite precedence, unless I'm wrong?
