The Old Testament is the Law. And what it showed us is that we cannot possibly follow all of it. It shows us that we are in need of a savior. We are all lawbreakers. All of us guilty. Christ came so that we might be saved.
The Old Testament was meant for Jews only. Your Roman and English rulers needed to create a context so they selectively stole parts in order to create a myth. It worked better than any ten armies in subduing the population.

Christianity needs the Old testament as well. Because Christianity and Christ makes no sense without it.

Now the Old Testament civil laws and ceremonial laws, that was for the Isreal. The moral laws still tell us what is immoral.

Buttigieg took it too far. He's used to people around him telling him how great he is because he's gay. That's why he's advertising it so much right now. He thinks because he's gay he's got this golden ticket.
Is this you speaking from experience ?
Is this how you ended up with this false sense of over-confidence and self-importance ?

Christians read the Old Testament , but they never practiced 3000 year old Jewish laws stoning Gays. God didn't make those Jewish laws, they did. Christians do believe that the actions of Gay people is an abomination.
He evidently didn't see the need to put it in a commandment though. Like all those other sins and abominations that Christians like to commit. If Buttigieg has accepted Christ into his heart, why are his "sins" any worse than yours?

God does call some sins an abomination.

But any ounce of sin of any kind is enough to take you to Hell for eternity. Unless you have Christ in you and are forgiven

Yet he claims to have accepted Christ. Why doesn't Buttigieg have the exact same Grace that you claim for yourself?
Why don't you just admit that the form of Christianity you practice is the snobby, elitist version? Where your own sins will never be as bad as those you detest.

The evidence for someone in Christ is a repentant heart when they are confronted with their sin. Buttigieg is promoting his sin and has PRIDE in his sin. That's not a good sign.

He is not promoting his so called non commandment worthy sin. If you had bothered to read the article, he has finally accepted that his creator made him that way. Doesn't the creator work in mysterious ways?

Maybe you need prayers to enable you to resist the temptation or something.
