In Canada, there’s a campaign to lower the national voting age from 18 to 8 before the October election “to make sure climate change is on top of the ballot — and voters’ minds — this federal election in October.” Even the first question on the FAQ page is, “Are you serious?” The answer? They’re serious about climate change, but not so serious about letting 8-year-olds vote. “We’re mobilized, we’re motivated (and full of sugar) and we’re willing to use any tool at our disposal, from picketing to pitching tantrums.”

This is a typical example of exploiting kids for politics.

This video wasn’t made by children. This website wasn’t made by children. This movement wasn’t made by children.

It was made by adults.

Dumb adults who think 8 year olds voting will help them get what they want.

From your post above.
“Are you serious?” The answer? They’re serious about climate change, but not so serious about letting 8-year-olds vote."
Let's not throw around the "dumb" word. Obviously being sarcastic. They wanted to get noticed.

And also make a point about how climate change politics are being dominated by people so old they won't live to see any consequences.

Yeah, LOL, another OP taking humor seriously.

From the website FAQ:

Why do you draw the line at eight?

You can’t mobilize seven year olds, it’s like herding cats.

House Democrats and Andrew Yang have pushed for a voting age of 16. That doesn’t go far enough.

If these morons thought for one minute this would help Republicans they would NEVER, ever push for it.

Sort of like how they were OK with the Electoral College until their team lost.

So when the Duggar family from 19 Kids and Counting have outsize influence, they'll be Electoral College supporters in no time.
