I still think Dershowitz had him snuffed. The guy has friends in the prison system and enough money to get Epstein
to, "commit suicide." He was getting sued by one of the girls (now a woman) for being sexually assaulted by Dershowitz while at Epstein's home. Maybe Dershowitz didn't want to be a part of another deal of Epstein but this time not as a lawyer but as a co-defendant.

ABC has a lot to answer for here, though CBS certainly can't be blamed for not wanting to continue employing someone who leaked internal information.

Yet I am continually fascinated how determined Trump supporters are to ask the media why they didn't cover Epstein more aggressively ...

... when it was the media that resurrected the case in the first place ...

... and why they are conspicuously disinterested in finding out exactly how Bill Barr's DoJ failed to keep him alive to be brought to trial.
The media has a pattern of behavior here. NBC tried to kill the Weinstein story, in part because they had their own pervert Matt Lauer to worry about. CBS employed people like Les Moonves and Charlie Rose. And now we find out that ABC was willing to protect a serial pedophile because they didn't want to offend the royal family or George Stephanopolous. They were more worried about trying to score an interview with Kate Middleton than acting on behalf of victims of Epstein.

This story should have blown up when clinton was found to be on the lolita express multiple times. But they buried it then as well.

Sure but it is important to remember that the national-level alphabet soup is not "the media." They're a highly influential part of it, but we would not know about any of this if not for the Herald. The story was dead. Epstein was freely jetsetting all over the world without a care in the world before 2016. They dug it all up.

FNC has had its own issues, too. There's a lot of rot at the top (irrespective of partisan bent.) They say sunlight is the best disinfectant. I say it's long overdue.

Medias biggest issue these days is ratings and money. It didnt used to be that way and often we found news people running the network. Now its a corporate board who sees numbers. So they dont necessarily need to be the most trustworthy or accurate as long as they get eyeballs.

Yeah, major props to Julie Brown and the Herald who did not "give" up on this story.

A couple of outliers like the Herald or Ronan Farrow aren't representative of the media.
The question you have to ask yourself is why was it Project Veritas who broke this story and not NBC, CBS, CNN, the New York Times, the Washington Post, Vox, or Buzzfeed?
