Dear Republican establishment: It’s too late to stop Donald Trump (or Ted Cruz)

This is a good piece. It is getting hard to see a scenario where the GOP can stop these guys now. Like this guy says, if establishment republicans think they can stop one of these whackjobs from stealing their party now it may be too late, that boat already left. Either one of these clowns will cause so many republicans to simply not vote that they can't possibly win the general election with either of them. It's like the only election that matters is the democratic primary because whoever wins that will be the next president.

Sorry pragmatist. I was gonna say I stepped all over your thread. BUT ACTUALLY 2 different sources (mine's Politico), same conclusion, same day. Can't be good for the GOP.

So, the fact Cruz was born in Canada won't matter?
Who knows? I would say it should not matter but very well might. Not that he is ineligible but plenty on the right thought Obama would have been ineligible if born in Kenya. Are those people going to feel the same way about Cruz or will they magically think it's fine if it's their candidate that was born outside the USA? Probably the latter but Trump is also probably right that if Cruz were to win that someone from the left will bring it up or file a suit that he isn't eligible. Those on the left won't believe it but why not use it if it gets you some votes. Very much like the right's claim that Hillary isn't trustworthy or a liar, it's bullshit but if it gets you votes and people are stupid enough to believe it, use it.

See what I mean. It doesn't matter if the left claims Cruz is ineligible when he is, or if the right claims Hillary is a liar. They are both bullshit claims but if you can get simple minds to believe them they will swing votes.

The GOP is actually embarssed by Trump's big mouth and lack of experience, but what really upsets them is their fear that Trump will not play ball.

This is the one thing I like about Trump.

That being said, Trump will be destroyed in the GE, due to his extreme unfavorability ranking.

You think Hillary is not a liar?
