While Obama spent years screwing the entire nation all while bending over, grabbing his ankles and letting Putin, Iran, China and NOKO have their way with him!
So, are you saying that now that Obama is out of office it's Trump who is grabbing his ankles for Putin?

Every man isn't married. Would you rather they fuck a prostitute or a wife or daughter of someone else's family? Better a prostitute than some teenage runaway they pick up on the highway.
Prostitutes typically are runaways and women who have been used and abused and tossed to the curb by men taking advantage of them.

So no, I don't advocate for the continuation of that.

Oh, but the government would get their fair share of the revenue. Only 2 things in life are certain after all.
Well, sure. But that has nothing to do with promoting the particular industry, much less having the government run it.

My personal thought is, legal vs. illegal: illegal means they have to work in dark alleys or seedy brothels in dangerous neighborhoods; while legal would mean they can perform their "services" openly, as a business, in a controlled environment, in a nice, comfortable facility, perhaps with professional bouncers/security staff to maintain order and keep everyone safe.

Why is that wrong?
Because is what happens as a result of it being legal is that they exploit and kidnap underage girls and women and do the exact same things. Except then it is legal. We should work on policing the crimes and more important...reducing the necessity for someone to commit it in the first place.

Legalizing it would reduce it.

If a dude could go to a nice, legitimate brothel or whatever; why would he go to some traffiucker instead?

Pretty sure most such "Johns" are just looking to quietly get paid. They are not out for dangerous adventures...

That isn’t what the evidence shows. What it shows is that the women are trafficked to these locations and prostituted our legally. Netherlands or Nevada. So it really doesn’t do anything to legalize it. It just encourages more exploitation.

I am actually of two minds about the issue. It does work in some places, and in others it merely eases the trafficking of unwilling participants. I am not sure it would work in NY state, but it might.
