Is anyone surprised? :)

The Democratic Socialists of America has officially endorsed Bernie Sandersfor president, with the organization throwing its growing political clout behind the Vermont senator ahead of the 2020 election.

The backing of the DSA will provide a further fillip to Sanders, who quickly outraised most of his rivals for the Democratic nomination. The DSA endorsed leftwing candidates Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Rashida Tlaib in 2018.

“He has the best possible chance of the Democratic field to beat Trump,” said Jeremy Gong, a member of the NPC who voted to endorse Sanders.

“Specifically because he has a working-class political agenda, as opposed to an elite, or moderate, or corporate-friendly agenda that is not exciting to anyone electorally – except a very small number of either Democratic party diehards or upper middle class or wealthy people.”

I'm not surprised. Socialism has become very popular with Democrats and their voters especially in the last 10 years. There are many problems with socialism. One problem being that it eventually kills a society. And as socialism increases, you see your freedoms decrease. Like freedom of speech and others.

I hope Sanders gets the nomination. Trump will have this fool for lunch. Remember when Bernie went on his honeymoon to the Soviet Union?

Of couse no one is suprised that someone who calls himself a democratic socialist got the endorsement of DSA. Glad to see such a moderate platform getting national attention. Don’t be fooled that he represents the “extreme left”. His platform calls for things that FDR called for in the 30s, and most of Europe got busy establishing, and now takes for granted. I doubt he’ll make it, but I’m glad that it’s at least a topic for discussion.

What this country needs is less capitalism, not more, in my opinion.

It appears the DSA controling faction of the Democrat Party is hell bent on NOT allowing the Cackling Cankles to "Bernie" Ol' Bernie in this round of Primaries.
