Democrats file ethics complaint over Republican 'trackers' roaming House halls
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has filed a congressional ethics complaint against their counterpart, the National Republican Campaign Committee. Ethics complaints against Republicans have been on an upswing, after the Republican-held House buried almost everything. Also, Republicans have been doing more crimes these days. (See: Duncan Hunter.)

At issue in this instance: The DCCC asserts that NRCC chair Rep. Tom Emmer is brazenly breaking House ethics rules, citing "multiple instances" of NRCC campaign trackers "chase and badger[ing] Democratic members of Congress in House office buildings." Campaign activities are not allowed inside House buildings; this would seem self-evidently a campaign activity.

A "tracker," for those unfamiliar with the shorthand term, is a video or audio-recording member of a campaign or political group tasked with following an opposing candidate to as many events as possible, looking to catch (or directly provoke) a political gaffe that can be used against them. It has become commonplace now that camera equipment can consist of a single smartphone—when the candidate is on the campaign trail, holding rallies or public town halls.

It's a completely different thing for the House Republican chairing the House Republican's political arm to order its employees to follow opposing House members through the halls of Congress itself, impeding or attempting to impede fellow lawmakers doing their government-paid House duties. Or at least it seems to be; in any event, it goes against the prohibition of "campaign" activities inside the House, which is what the DNCC is asking Emmer be investigated for.

Emmer was named in the complaint as the elected chairman of the NRCC, the campaign arm of the House Republicans.

“As the NRCC is chaired by a member of Congress, these campaign activities in House office buildings are a clear violation of the House Ethics Manual,” read a news release from the DCCC.

Lucinda Guinn, executive director of the DCCC, alleged that Emmer broke House rules by using taxpayer funded facilities for political purposes.

Chris Pack, spokesman for the NRCC, called the complaint “a desperate and frivolous attempt by Nancy Pelosi’s political arm to distract from Washington Democrats’ collective failure to accomplish anything for the American people that they promised on the campaign trail.”

The nonpartisan Office of Congressional Ethics was established by Congress in 2008 to review allegations of misconduct by House members and potentially refer cases to the House Ethics Committee, which is evenly divided between Democrats and Republicans. Among its 10 current members is Minnesota Democrat Dean Phillips.

Rep. Emmer is in a very safe party of Trump congressional district in MN. That is the district that sent Michele Bachmann to Congress.

Of course it is. You profoundly believe that members of the party Trump don't need to follow protocol in the U.S. Capitol just like Impeached Trump. Figures.

The tactic is commonly used by both parties on the campaign trail and during campaign events, but not inside the halls of Congress.

As has been seen by reality, party of Trump bills are vindictive and do suck. As I have said, the party of Trump doesn't believe the rules apply to them.

I suspect that the bills that these dems truly support and push will be covertly laced with societal arsenic...

Pro government control
(Socialist , Communist, globalist)
Anti-religion
Anti-2nd amendment
Anti-free speech
Anti-tradition
identity politics
Racism

Etc

Better for any such bills from this sick house to die on McConnells desk.

Dems can’t take their own medicine well.
Maxine waters and others practically advocated violence against Trump reps and supporters and now can’t take a little civil discourse in return.

Poor babies.
