And how much did you actually pay for this IV? Do you have insurance? Do you have deductables and co-pays? Could you afford to pay the entire cost out of pocket? Did you really need this IV? Those aren't loaded questions? My point is How do we make healthcare affordable for everyone and accessible for everyone?
I took someone else, it was absolutely necessary, and they had met the $5k deductable for the year and it was $350 out of pocket. A few days into the new year and it would have been a different story.

That was illegal long decades before Obamacare.
I have been working for numerous companies since the 80's and have never had a employer deny coverage for a pre-existing condition. You don't even fill out a health survey or anything. If you are a spouse or dependent, you just add them to the policy with no questions asked.

In a Democracy, if the "better off" are a minority, they may not like the result.
Hence the reason we are a republic with a bill of rights.
There have been society's where the "better off" were put against the wall or lined up at the guillotine, ending all their grievances in one stroke...
There have been far more instances of the "better off" putting down the greedy socialists like rabid dogs when they try to steal wealth they didn't earn.

If rump hadnt bought things he couldnt afford, would he have gone bankrupt several times?
My question has nothing to do with trump. Pay attention, please.
Again: Do you think you have the right to take things you can't afford?
It's a yes or no question.

Warning! The above question is a function of black, and white thinking.

You want to frame it that way, however a thoughtful answer isnt yes or no.
Again: Do you think you have the right to take things you can't afford?
It's a yes or no question.

It is illegal for the employer to ask any health related questions, and even if you volunteered you had cancer or diabetes it is illegal for the employer to consider it in the hiring process.

The "better off" just hire thugs to do the dirty work...and that works up to a point and then it doesn't..
