Just wow. The malignancy that is the swamp. But the culture after eight years of Øbama is showing its true colors too.

DOJ Declines to Prosecute FBI Agent Who Mishandled Classified Information, Gave Misleading Testimony, Provided False Information to IG

The Department of Justice, according to the department’s Office of Inspector General, has declined to prosecute a now-retired FBI special agent (SA) who mishandled classified information, gave misleading testimony, had “contacts with several individuals appeared to be designed to improperly influence their prospective testimony” and provided the IG with false information.

“Criminal prosecution of the SA was declined,” the IG reported in an investigative summary of the case.

...

“The Department of Justice (DOJ) Office of the Inspector General (OIG) initiated this investigation after receiving information from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Inspection Division, alleging that an FBI Special Agent (SA), who has since retired, may have contacted witnesses during a federal criminal investigation for an improper purpose,” said the summary.

“The OIG found that the SA contacted individuals who he either knew were, or had reasonable belief would be witnesses in the criminal investigation and that the SA’s contacts with several individuals appeared to be designed to improperly influence their prospective testimony,” said the summary. “Accordingly, the OIG concluded that the SA’s contacts with the witnesses were improper and constituted misconduct.

“During the investigation, the OIG also found that the SA divulged law enforcement sensitive information to unauthorized individuals; misused his government issued electronic devices; provided misleading testimony during a related civil deposition; mishandled classified information; misused his position during contacts with local law enforcement officers; and provided false information to the OIG,” said the summary.

“Criminal prosecution of the SA was declined,” it continued.

I did not say it was all his fault. But he left a dreadful eight years behind him, a rotting culture that saw the IRS and the FBI sicced on conservative groups for instance. He left behind this culture with embeds.
well, you blamed Obama for sure. He has no control of the DOJ. Why not place the blame with the current administration and with the AG that he appointed, Jeff Sessions? If they select to continue the policies of the previous administration that's not Obama's fault. But, you haven't shown how they're even doing that? Or even, why it is you feel that the DOJ should have prosecuted this case?

Some people have no comprehension how the bulk of the DoJ (like all agencies) are NOT replaceable as the heads of the agencies are. Øbama spent eight yaers filling departments with embeds who cannot be removed except for the most egregious behavior.

DOJ Employee Donations Overwhelmingly Favor Democrats

Thus the refusal to indict as pointed to in the OP. A culture rot that has a lot of Øbama's fingerprints all over it, as the siccing of the IRS and FBI on conservative groups did. Øbama weaponized the DoJ and the FBI, and many embeds are still there.

you don't have any evidence Obama is responsible for this case being prosecuted. We all know that the department is staffed by career employees. Ok. So, if that's your argument then it's stands to reason that the department wouldn't be motivated by the singular partisan concerns of any particular administration. Isn't that right? Because , if your argument holds, then the department is currently being motivated by the partisan concerns of Trump. Either the current administration controls the political agenda of the department or it doesn't.

Bullshit. Your boy and Sessions run DOJ now. If there is no charges being filed that is totally up to Trump and Sessions.

For the love of Jesus. Learn who is who and who is in control.

Your ignorance gets boring.

Thanks, you just admitted Obama had nothing to do wiith one rogue agent.

He knew Constitutional Law, hands off the Agencies, unlike the loony in office now, who thinks he can meddle.

You guys reveal in your posts that you know very little about the Law. Those Agencies are above Political Expendecy.
