Well, according to the left they should never have been separated to begin with. Yeah, the left really cares about the children.

DOJ Finds 'Parents' Of Kids Taken At Border Are Child Abusers, Kidnappers, Murderers, Not Actual Parents

From The Daily Mail:

The Trump administration said Thursday that nearly half of the children ages 5 and under who were separated from grown-ups at the U.S. border can't be reunited with their parents, mostly because many of the adults are violent criminals – and some lied about being the minors' parents.

President Donald Trump had claimed Tuesday that illegal immigrants and human traffickers were 'using children' to manipulate America's immigration system and make it easier for adults to enter the U.S. without papers and remain there.

Of the 103 minors in the youngest age group, the administration has reunited 57 with parents, but the other 46 are 'ineligible,' the Justice and Homeland Security Departments reported.

Eleven of the adults have 'serious criminal histor[ies],' the agencies announced, including charges or convictions for child cruelty, kidnapping, murder, human smuggling, domestic violence and narcotics-related crime.

The problem with the Daily Mail news article is that the Daily Mail is conflating reports from the Trump administration with claims of findings from the DOJ and DHS.

The Daily Mail quotes Donald Trump, AG Sessions, and DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, and HHS Secretary Alex Azar with only generic statements on the situation and never show any specific quotes from AG Sessions, DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, and HHS Secretary Alex Azarin on what the on the specific claims the DM article is claiming.

The US Government generates a hard copy report with every release of information. There should be links to each of the claims the DM made of DHS and DOJ. No links to Government released documents.

Donald Trump is not a credible source.

As the DHS said, 10,000 of the 12,000 kids held in detention centres didn't arrive with their biological parents.

Why are the left so naive with immigration?

Let me clue you in. We are discussing two wholly separate categories of minor children.

A] Unaccompanied minors. and
B] Children arriving with parents or family members other than parents.

When a child arrives without a B], they are categorized as an A].

So what ever you claim DHS 'said' has no bearing on this thread unless you can show a connection.

A random statistic without context is useless.

The vast majority of apprehensions at the border do not include fraud. Between October 2017 and May 2018, 99.75 percent of family units apprehended by at the border were not linked to fraud (i.e. pretending to be a parent). A Customs and Border Protection official said Tuesday that out of 59,113 total family unit apprehensions during that period, there were 148 cases of alleged fraud.
