Man, REPUBLICANS aren't even trying anymore to 'court' women. In your face, we don't give a shit, get the fuck out of our way!

(You can hear an audible WOW from an audience member after he throws the mic down in front of her).

WATCH: GOP state legislator snatches mic from the hand of his female opponent — then throws it back at her during debate

09 OCT 2018 AT 21:47 ET

A Republican state legislator in Minnesota snatched the microphone out of his female Democratic opponent’s hands during a debate to make a point — and drew gasps from the crowd watching them.

Rochester, Minnesota’s Post-Bulletin newspaper reported that the state Rep. Duane Quam (R) made the aggressive gesture towards challenger Jamie Mahlberg during a debate hosted by the city’s League of Women Voters in a public library.

The moment was captured by a livestream hosted by the city of Rochester and subsequently went viral when a short clip captured both Quam snatching the mic from Mahlberg’s hands and then throwing it back at her when he’d made his point.

The Democratic candidate was answering a question about education funding and taxes that Quam had already answered when the incumbent grabbed the microphone from her while she was looking away.

“I see a rebuttal is required,” the moderator said as the audience chattered and the camera panned out. Stills from the moment show Mahlberg appearing to say “oh!” as Quam grabbed the mic from her hand.

He hands her the microphone back after complaining about taxes “funding failure” for students but she declined — at which point Quam threw it in front of her, causing a loud thump because the mic was still turned on.

Does she expect female privilege?

Or is she an equal and should be able to handle this like a man...

I assume you are for the double standard when it's convenient..

By the way...he is a complete ass.

lol That's quaint, still...

Just wait though. If Trump keeps on emulating Russia, soon enough, you'll probably have party bigwigs physically throwing opponents out of TV studios, and telling his bodyguard to "Beat the hell out of this bastard out there in the hallway! Fucking shoot him, I don't give a shit!"

Not at all, I'm just surprised by the low pay for a state rep.

Our local city officials are pulling in at least 50k.

lol

And by the way, that information is in the link in the OP so its directly related to this thread.
These are state legislators which means it's usually not a full time job. You're Arizona, right? State senators and representatives there are paid $24,000 a year plus per diem.
