Hi, all:
I want to invite everyone to take a look at my son's Eagle Scout project, a documentary about USS Arizona survivor and Pacific war bomber pilot Lou Conter. If you'd like to find out what it was like to be on the deck of the Arizona when it blew up, what it was like to be shot down in shark-infested waters, and how to politely turn down a dinner invitation from a cannibal in New Guinea, this is the film for you. Besides the interview with Mr. Conter the movie has historic footage and photos, music, and historic commentary. We traveled from California to Hawaii for the 75th anniversary observances. There's footage of the ceremonies plus commentary by other survivors, and some current general officers. Available ad-free on You-Tube. Let us know how you like it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T_L0kWTqPiA

Welcome to the forum.

One of my great regrets is that I did not get a chance to visit the AZ Memorial the only time I was in Hawaii.

If I ever go back, it will be a pleasure trip and I will definitely see it.

Good for your son for being interested in such a historic event.
