I saw a C-130 AND a DC-10 standing still, sitting on their tails side by side one time.

Nose wheels way up in the air.

Wish I'd had a camera.

Couldn't believe it.

It was because of Pinatabo.

The ash was so deep and so heavy.

Maybe those pics exist on the interweb somewhere...

So far I have been unsuccessful pulling up a C-130 image.

I know, I found the DC-10 on the Mt Pinatubo Wiki page, but couldn't find the C-130, either.

I think they were pretty close together on the ramp.

I seem to remember the 130 was popping more of a wheelie than the DC-10.

Like I say, I wish I would have had a camera.

I had no idea that "ash" could do so much damage.

I'd like to go back and see how it's recovered...

Looking at the pic of the DC-10, I'd say it has been there quite a while with the ash on it.

When I saw it, was only a day or two after the second eruption.

The Herc had maybe been taken away long before the photo was taken.

Wonder if it flew out?
Maybe, I have some ole military C-130 guys I'm friends with on Facebook. They might have some images I could have.
