FiveThirtyEight?s Senate Model Is Back And It Gives Republicans The Edge | FiveThirtyEight

The FiveThirtyEight Senate model is launching Wednesday. We’ll be rolling it out in stages, with additional features, functionality and further methodological detail. We’ll also be unveiling our new set of pollster ratings and publicly releasing our database of all the polls used to calculate them. So there’s a lot more to come.

But if you’re looking for a headline, we have two. First, Republicans are favored to take the Senate, at least in our view; the FiveThirtyEight forecast model gives them a 64 percent chance of doing so.
The Republicans’ edge comes from an abundance of opportunity. They are almost certain to win the Democratic-held seats in Montana and West Virginia, and very likely to do so in South Dakota. That gives them three of the six seats they need.
Nonetheless, Republicans have the more robust map and more tolerance for error. That’s why the odds are in their favor.
Not that it will matter much. At least Reid won't be able to continue to obstruct Congress and sit on over 300 House bills anymore.

Obama will get the pleasure of a mass veto, killing all 300 at once. Worthless fucking RWNJ bills, the best kind to veto. Will they send all 54 of the repeal Obamacare bills to him at once?
You do realize that the vast majority of those 300+ bills were bipartisan, right? Also, that a fair number were originated by Democrats?

Of course you did. You would never speak without actually researching something before hand, now would you.

This was done yesterday BEFORE the Dem dropped out in Kansas (40 minutes before close of business on final allowable day), for which Sam Wang awarded a 20 point Dem bump!

Hate to be the bearer of bad news Skippy. ;)

Game change: Kansas Democrat drops out of Senate race
