If he can be in charge of the investigation against him, or those performing the investigation, then he absolutely is, in the most Nixonian fashion.

Unless, of course, he fires the LE official(s) first.

Like Republicans have ever had a problem with investigators performing witch hunts ...
You should go read my posts regarding Ken Star and his witch hunt. I was equally critical.

So if you are trying to label me as a Republican in that respect it just doesn't fly.

As I said, the President has been more than reasonable with Mueller. He's had over a year to investigate and has come up with nothing but bank fraud and porn stars. It's time to end this witch hunt.

No, because congress can impeach him if he is breaking the law.
Impeachment is a political process - impossible when the president's party holds Congress - not an enforcement or judicial one.
Mueller is the one who isn't above the law.
But Trump is, apparently, or so you appear to be arguing because it is the logical conclusion of the position statements you have made. Not to mention that Mueller is not under investigation, or suspected of having committed a crime. Your statement is true, but makes no sense in this context.

I remember when Ken Starr investigated Bill Clinton for 5 years over an Arkansas land deal and then Clinton got impeached over lying about getting a blow job...I have never heard a single Republican say there was anything wrong with that...in fact, they glorify it and use it in campaign rhetoric. Remember those middle aged women Trump dragged into the debate?

Everything in Washington is a "political process" including Mueller's investigation. So that's neither here nor there.

And again: it's the constitution that gives the President authority over the executive branch and the officials who work under him. That's not above the law - that is the law.

Congress and the people in an election is the check on the presidency. Not Robert Mueller. That is the law.

I'm not a Republican - but you should go look up my past comments about Ken Star and the witch hunt into Bill Clinton's sex life.

They were equally as critical

So if you are trying to label me as a hypocrite it just doesn't work.

But you're right to bring up the Ken Star investigation. This is pretty much the same shit.

I said Republicans, and I realize the GOP is too moderate for you....

The target of an investigation does not get to determine what is "reasonable," else he is in effect running the investigation and claiming to be above the law.
I as an American citizen get to determine what I think is reasonable or not. And I believe the President has been more than reasonable with Mueller like I said.
