Fact ...these days you need either college or a trade school to make a living...

Sure at one time just a High School diploma was fine but those good paying factory jobs are a thing of the past...

Fact the cost of College is almost what a HOUSE used to Cost.......

In essence many are AGAINST a Public College System yet without college or trade school one will likely end up in Low Wage Service Sector Job that doesn't even cover today's ridiculous rents...

The Conservative will poo poo the low wage worker for making Bad Choices by not furthering their education yet they have zero hope of paying for college or they borrow and spend their first 20 years deeply in debt

You do know there was a time when people worked 3 jobs and did night school to get a degree?
At $7.25 an hour in the service sector "working" your way through college is not a reality anymore...

Infact that Wage will barely buy simple groceries and maintenance on a junk car.....

At part time that won't even cover groceries and a transit pass current price of a CTA Pass is around $100 a month and that don't cover Metra Rail if ya gotta venture deep into the Suburbs

Here's a common sense question?

Who pays for all this free stuff?

Universities do not run on "free".

Bernie Sanders has proposed a 19 trillion dollar tax hike on the American people as a plan to pay for all this free stuff in his socialist America.

Screw him and screw socialism.

We fund a public school system why not public universities....

And with higher education people would be making MORE MONEY and Paying More TAXES to COVER

Back when I went to college you could save up via a summer job to pay for your next years tuition and dorm fees. Of course that was a community college that the elitists pooh poohed. Now costs are so high you barely make a dent with a summer job.

I transferred to Indiana University and the quality was abysmal compared to the Michigan community college. Just a number, rarely saw a prof, and of course the costs were higher. But still much lower than today.
