what are the actual deficit numbers since trump took office, i wonder? If he's reduced the deficit, this is your chance to say so.
The change in the debt is what really matters. The stated deficit was less than $600 billion in FY 2016, but $1,400 billion was added to the debt. The stated deficit was higher in FY2017, but only half as much was added to the debt.

dood. what?

Just reading that was exhausting. admit that spending doesn't matter when republicans do it and be done with it. If the deficit had gone down you could have said so. So the deficit went up, and the debt went up. but it doesn't matter because REPUBLICAN.

It matters no matter who holds the purse strings. Had the GOP House held spending to the 2016 levels the deficit would have went down. Dems spent all 2017 and 2018 crying about the deficit and debt and what did the Dem House just do? They approved a DOD budget with increased spending.

Obama had started UNWINDING QE, in other words slowly selling off the bonds they had bought. Trump has stopped it. While down from it's peak of 4.25 Trillion dollars the fed still hold 3.8 Trillion in bonds. Dump the bonds, crash the economy.

Right, Obama printed 7 Trillion new dollars to grow his economy. my question is how is trump growing the economy WITHOUT QE and pringing 1 trillion in new dollars and dumping the monies into the Markets.

Not only has Trump not devaluing the dollar by monetizing the debt his economy is outpacing Obamas...

And it won’t be. Fiscal conservatism is nothing but campaign rhetoric. Deficit hawks run for office and clip their own wings before the system does it for them. There will always be new “justification” for increased spending regardless of which corporate party is in power.
Deficit hawks, Remmber 6 of the Deficits during Obama's 8 years were higher than Trumps current deficit. (Please explain the Deficit Hawk)... Trump era deficits under pacing those of Obama era.

Presidents do not create deficits, those are Acts of Congress, not Executive actions
